The Chairperson also stated that conduct of JK Board 10th and 12th exams already got delayed to November owing to students’ that they should be given ample time for preparation.
JKBOSE Class 10 and 12 Exams: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education decided to conduct the JKBOSE 10th and JKBOSE 12th annual exams after November 15, 2020. However, the decision to conduct exams for Class 11 and lower classes will be taken by JKBOSE later. While talking to the media, Veena Pandita, Chairperson JKBOSE was quoted stating that the JKBOSE Class 10 and 12 exams will be conducted in the offline pen-and-paper based mode. She further said that all COVID-19 safety measures will be ensured while conducting JKBOSE Class 10 and JKBOSE Class 12 exams.
The Chairperson also stated that conduct of JK Board 10th and 12th exams already got delayed to November owing to students’ that they should be given ample time for preparation. So far the Board is now planning to conduct the J&K Board Class 10 and 12 exams after November 15, 2020. Pandita also informed that the exams of both Classes 10 and 12 will be conducted simultaneously on alternative days. She said that the Board is hopeful that the JKBOSE Class 10 and 12 exams will be over by December 20, 2020.
According to the official information, the schedule will be decided in the coming days. The arrangements for setting up of exam centres for the students of JKBOSE Class 10 and 12 will be finalised by the Board. Earlier, the government announced a reduction of 30 per cent of the syllabus for class 10th, 11th and 12th in view of the ongoing pandemic. Meanwhile, the media reports suggest that the Board is calculating the number of students who registered for the JK Board Class 10th and 12th exams. It also state that the number of exam centres for JKBOSE 10th and JKBOSE 12th exams will be double this year in view of the pandemic which will decrease the number of students per exam centre by 50 per cent.
