The state board has recommended multiple changes in the examination system. Read to know more.
The Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka (DPUE) will be conducting the Karnataka 2nd PUC midterm exams from November 29 to December 10, 2021. The state board has proposed some changes in the examination system. Reportedly, one of the major changes proposed by the department is that the answer scripts would be checked by the teachers from other institutes. The changes are applicable only for Class 12 students.

The exam papers would be conducted by the PUE department. Also, a committee would be formed at each district to conduct Karnataka 2nd PUC Mid Term Exam 2021 smoothly. The distribution of question papers, collection and distribution of answer scripts would be managed by nodal centres set up at each taluk.
The state board has made it clear that all examination-related activities would be conducted at nodal centres only. The report further stated that the answer scripts would be checked in other colleges to stop bias in the evaluation process. More information would be available soon on the official website of the state board.
Non-closure of the admission process, shortage of manpower at nodal centres, among others are certain challenges in executing this sudden change in the examination system. The teachers are clearly expecting more clarifications on these from the department. Meanwhile, the teachers have been asked to complete the evaluation process within 8 to 10 days from the completion of the examination.
The mid-term 2nd PUC exams will be conducted in two shifts - first from 9 am to 12:15 pm and the next between 2 pm and 5:15 pm. The Karnataka second PUC mid-term exams will start with the Kannada paper on the morning session and Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Arabic and French on the afternoon session of the first day, November 29, followed by the English paper on November 30 and History and Physics on December 1.
