From disinfecting Karnataka SSLC Exam centres to providing N-95 masks to the students from the containment area, all safety measures are being planned to conduct Karnataka SSLC 2020 Exams.

Karnataka SSLC Exams 2020 is scheduled to begin from June 25, 2020. As the Karnataka SSLC Exams 2020 were initially postponed due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus followed by the imposition of the nationwide lockdown to contain the contagious virus. The Primary and Secondary Education Minister and the health department would be holding meetings to ensure the safe conduct of exams this year. According to the statement given by the Home Minister of the state Basavraj Bommai, home health and education departments are working together to ensure hassle-free conduction of Karnataka SSLC exams in the state. Also, the officials from the departments are advised to visit the Karnataka Class 10 students appearing in the Karnataka SSLC exams 2020 to ensure their health safety. 

While chairing the meeting to discuss smooth and safe conductiong of Karnatak SSLC Exams 2020, the minister said, “Though the conduct of the exam is the jurisdiction of the education department, the home department is playing a key role in ensuring a safe atmosphere to students.” 

He further added, “The department’s role becomes crucial, especially as the High Court has dismissed a PIL against conducting the exam and directed the government to monitor the precautions taken.” Efforts in bringing the students back from border areas, to ensure the safety of question papers are also made by the Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar. Police officers and personnel are engaged to ensure safety at the Karnataka SSLC Exam Centres.  The minister is also keeping an eye on the hygiene maintenance actions taken at health kiosks at Karnataka SSLC exam centres.

A minimum of two Asha workers are deployed by the Health Ministry at each exam centre where Karnataka SSLC exam is scheduled to be conducted. According to the revised Karnataka SSLC Time Table 2020, the Karnataka SSLC Exams will begin on June 25, 2020.  From disinfecting Karnataka SSLC Exam centres to providing N-95 masks to the students from the containment area, all safety measures are being planned to conduct Karnataka SSLC 2020 Exams.
