The re-exam for Class 10 and Class 12 students will be conducted after assessing the coronavirus situation in the state, the Maharashtra School Education Minister said.
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education (MSBSHSE) has postponed the re-exam for Maharashtra SSC and Maharashtra HSC students, which is generally conducted in October. The examination for those who failed to clear Maharashtra 10th and Maharashtra 12th examinations of the state Board has been deferred this year, owing to the coronavirus situation in the state, Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced.
"Given the COVID-19 situation, we have decided to postpone the examinations," Ms Gaikwad told reporters.
"The re-exam for Class 10 and Class 12 students will be conducted after assessing the coronavirus situation in the state. As of now, there is no fixed date, but the Board is planning to conduct the exam based on the situation in November or December," she said.
The Board had declared the Maharashtra Board HSC Results 2020 on July 16 and Maharashtra Board SSC Results 2020 on July 29. Students have been eagerly waiting for the Board to release the Maharashtra 12th and Maharashtra 10th re-exam date. Teachers while speaking on the matter earlier said that the students who were marked failed in their Maharashtra HSC Board Results 2020 (Class 12) and Maharashtra SSC Board Results 2020 (Class 10), will either not get enough time to prepare for the re-exam whenever it is announced or will lose a chance to join the next academic class without loosing out a year.
The Maharashtra Class 10 and Maharashtra Class 12 result was delayed this year due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country. With the delay in the announcement of result, the admission to next academic class has also been postponed further.
