The Maharashtra HSC, SSC exams 2021 are all set to be conducted offline this year according to the timetable released, informed Maharashtra school education minister Varsha Gaikwad. Important instructions regarding the conduction of exams have also been released by the state board.
This year, special measures are being taken by the board to ensure the safety of the students amid the rapid spread of the COVID19 pandemic in the state. Maharashtra Board will conduct the Maha HSC exams 2021 between April 23 and May 21 while Maha SSC exams 2021 will be held from April 29 till May 20 in pen and paper mode. Many students and parents have raised their concerns regarding offline exams due to the spike in COVID19 cases in the state in the past few days.
Maharashtra SSC, HSC Exams 2021: Important instructions
This year, the board examinations will be conducted keeping in mind the safety of the students. Thus, the board has issued several instructions for schools regarding the conduct of Maharashtra HSC, SSC exams listed below:
- The Mah SSC, HSC exams will be conducted in the offline mode. No school will conduct online exams.
- The exams will be conducted in the same schools where the student is enrolled to control the spread of COVID19 and limit human interaction.
- There will be no practical exams for Class 10 and students will only appear for theory exams. For Class 12 practical exams too, only limited experiments shall be conducted.
- All students will be given 30 minutes extra to write the exams this year. Students who are disabled will get one hour extra.
- Thermal screening will be done at all the examination centres to ensure that the students don’t have COVID19 symptoms.
- All students will have to wear a mask and practice proper social distancing in the exam centre.
- If the student is infected with COVID19 or lives in the containment zone during exam dates, they can appear for the special exam in June. This will be treated as the main exam and not as a supplementary exam.
- The oral and practical examinations for class 12 will be held between April 5 and April 22, while the orals for class 10 will be held from April 12 to 28.
