According to reports, DGE TN has postponed the Tamilnadu 12th has postponed the Language exam. It will now be conducted on May 2 instead of May 31. Read below for more details.
The Directorate of Government Exams, Tamil Nadu (DGE TN) has decided to postpone the Tamil Nadu 12th exam 2021 Language paper which was to be conducted on May 3 to May 31, according to noted media reports. This move is being made due to the Assembly Election Results 2021 counting which is scheduled for May 2. However, the official confirmation for the same is yet to be received.
Contrary to the speculations and rumours spreading on social media, the state government has not cancelled or postponed the complete TN 12th examinations. The exams for HSC students would be held as per the schedule announced earlier with just one key change i.e. Language paper which was earlier scheduled to be held on May 3 has now been postponed and will be held on May 31. The change has been done in order to ensure the additional time required to complete the counting of votes for Assembly Elections 2021.
With the postponement of first paper, the TN 12th examinations 2021 will now begin on May 5 with the English subjects and end on May 31 with Language subject. Taking into account the safety of students appearing for the Tamil Nadu Class 12 Public Exam 2021, the DGE TN will be holding the exam amid strict adherence to COVID19 guidelines and SOPs.
This year, around eight lakh students have registered to appear for Tamilnadu HSC Exam 2021. Usually, these exams are held in the month of March/April, but this year due to the prevailing pandemic situation and the Assembly Elections 2021, the same have been delayed by a month and will now be held in May 2021. Earlier, the state had announced the cancellation of TN SSC exams 2021.
