TN 12th Syllabus 2026: Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamilnadu will release Tamil Nadu 12th syllabus 2026 for the students. TN 12th syllabus includes the important topics, exam pattern and marks distribution of all the subjects. Tamilnadu 12th syllabus 2026 will be released for Arts, Commerce and Science streams. It is expected that TN board will follow last year's syllabus for 2026. Q:   What is the marking scheme of the Tamil Nadu HSC exam?

Tamil Nadu 12th exam marking scheme is as follows. Each subject carries 100 marks in total. Subjects with practicals are marked as 70 marks for theory, 20 marks for practical and 10 marks for internal assessment. Students should be aware of the marking scheme. The TN 12th paper is divided into four sections. The first section consists of 15 marks. It has multiple choice questions. The second section consists of 2-mark questions. The maximum marks a student can acquire are 12. The third section has three-mark questions and the maximum marks a student can get are 18. The students are required to answer 5 questions under section 4, with each question containing 5 marks

Q:   What if I am not able to pass the TN 12th exam?

Students who are unable to clear the TN 12th board examinations in the first attempt get a second and last chance to appear for the exams. TN board conducts Class 12 supplementary exams in June/July. The board will release the notification for the TN 12th supplementary exam soon after the TN 12th result declaration. Students have to apply for the supplementary exam by paying the required fees.

Tamil Nadu 12th Public Exam 2026: Guidelines

The TN 12th board exam 2026 will be held from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm. All the students are required to come to the examination centers 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the exam. The students also need to carry their TN 12th admit cards & school id card. Tamil Nadu 12th result 2026 will be out in May 2026. Students must not carry the follow items to Tamil Nadu 12th board exam hall.

  • Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, headphones, pagers, fitness bands, cameras, etc.
  • Wallets, goggles, handbags, and purses.
