BITSoM has added seven new faculty members in its stellar faculty pool to teach diverse subjects such as ethics in management, influence and persuasion, whole-brain thinking, compelling communication, and more.

BITSoM has added seven new faculty members in its stellar faculty pool to teach diverse subjects such as ethics in management, influence and persuasion, whole-brain thinking, compelling communication, and more. 

BITS School of Management (BITSoM), the new-age business school based in Mumbai added seven new faculty members in its stellar faculty pool. These faculty members have been added “to teach diverse subjects such as ethics in management, influence and persuasion, whole-brain thinking, compelling communication, finance for global corporations and persuasive writing, from a curriculum designed with deep industry engagement and to address the needs of increasingly digital organisations,” the official press release stated.

According to the release, Welcoming the new faculty on board, Dr Ranjan Banerjee, Dean, BITSoM said, “I am excited to welcome our outstanding new faculty. At BITSoM, our endeavour is to deliver a world-class learning experience with each subject being taught by teachers who are thought leaders in their fields and who can inspire our students. Our aim is to make students future-ready, not just for work but for life!”

The new faculty members are:

  • Mr Dharmeshwar Upadhyaya, Director, Par Excellence, Teaching Faculty, Leadership Solutions Pvt Ltd. - will teach Influence and Persuasion
  • Professor Milind Shrikhande, Professor of Finance, Georgia State University – will teach Finance for Global Corporations,
  • Mr Morgen Witzel, Fellow, University of Exeter Business School – will teach Ethics in Management,
  • Professor Madhav Khosla, Associate Professor, Ashoka University and incoming Associate Professor of Law at Columbia University – will teach We the People.
  • Ms Preeti Singh, Consultant at Harappa Education – will teach Compelling Communication,
  • Ms Preeti Singh, MPhil in Disarmament Studies – will teach Persuasive Writing and
  • Professor Sujit Kumar, Visiting Faculty at IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore and ISDM – will teach Whole brain Thinking

These new faculty members are in addition to several other global experts already on board, such as:

  • Professor Leena Chatterjee, Professor of Organisational Behaviour at IIM Calcutta, Teaching Leading Self and Teams
  • Professor Abhijeet Vadera, Associate Professor of OBHR Singapore Management University, Teaching Negotiation Analysis
  • Professor A K Shiva Kumar, Professor of Economics and Public Policy (visiting faculty) Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, ISB and Ashoka University, teaching Government, Society, and Business
  • Professor Cait Lamberton, Professor of Marketing, Wharton Business School Teaching Marketing Research and Methods
  • Dr Devdutt Pattanaik, Mythologist, Author, Illustrator, Consultant, teaching Culture and Business – A Mythology Toolkit
  • Professor Dhananjay (Dan) Gode, Professor of Accounting, NYU Stern School of Business, teaching Business Drivers for Industry – An Analytical Framework
