Q: Can I join IIM Bangalore after Class 12?

It is not possible to join IIM Bangalore directly after Class 12 since the institute mostly offers postgraduate and doctoral level programmes in the field of Management. However, a student who has completed his/ her Class 12 can complete the final graduation and then look out for admission to IIM-B.

The institute offers MBA, Executive MBA, and other courses at PG, doctoral and certificate level courses in the field of Management. Interested applicants are required to go through the national-level entrances and then appear for the institute-level selection rounds for final admission. Admission to the flagship course, i.e. MBA of IIM Bangalore is based on a valid score in the CAT exam, followed by a Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) round. Q: What is the CAT cutoff required to get into IIM Bangalore?

IIM Bangalore considers two kinds of CAT scores for MBA admission - Qualifying and Final score. Qualifying CAT score is the minimum sectional and overall CAT score used to shortlist students for the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. Candidates above minimum cutoffs in the sectional percentile ranks, the overall percentile rank and having a positive (greater than zero) raw score in all sections of CAT are considered for the next stage. The final CAT score is cutoffs are the basis of which the candidates are called for final selection after the AWT and PI rounds are over.

Q: What is the fee for MBA at IIM Bangalore?

At the postgraduate level, IIM Bangalore offers MBA courses to students. The total tuition fee for the MBA is INR 12.5 lakh - INR 24.5 lakh. This fee is exclusive of the admission fee, and several other charges. Students must pay the total tuition fee in time to avoid the late fee charges. Q: Does IIM Bangalore consider 12th marks?

No matter how much a student secures in Class 12, IIM Bangalore, while shortlisting candidates for MBA follows a normalization process and gives weightage to all exam scores, i.e., Class 10, Class 12 or graduation. The process of normalisation is explained below:

For IIM Bangalore PGP admission, a shortlist will be prepared comprising the names of candidates who have secured a pre-determined minimum score on all sections of CAT.
All the subsequent processing, standardization and selection are limited to candidates selected to the first short list alone. Therefore, the CAT score alone is used as the basis for arriving at the first short list
For all candidates in the first shortlist, a candidate’s percentage scores in the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams are adjusted by dividing each such score by the 90th percentile score obtained in that board. For this purpose, the database of Class 10 and Class 12 scores of all CAT applicants of the past two years is used for identifying the 90th percentile score for each Class 10 and Class 12 scores board.

The best IIM in India, with great industrial exposure.

Placements: Placements were totally amazing, and I was quite satisfied with the placements via IIM Bangalore. Students got the best industrial exposure here in Bangalore. The average package size was 13 LPA, and the maximum package offered was 45 LPA. Internships opportunities were provided to students in their first year itself.

Infrastructure: Best-in-class infrastructure and amazing amenities were provided by the college. The campus life at IIM Bangalore was amazing, with youth fests, fairs, and cultural programs organized by the college on a regular basis. Sports facilities and opportunities were given to students, and the food quality in the mess and canteen was average.

Faculty: Teachers were well-experienced and dedicated to their duties. They were very helpful and polite towards students. Faculty members at IIM Bangalore were selected from top candidates all over India. Their teaching style was relatable to the corporate sector, the curriculum was totally relevant, and the passing percentage was 45%.

Absolutely satisfied facilities and have great faculty, good placements in 2024.

Placements: Many companies based out in South India visit, covering every sector, including food processing, tech, and consultancy, with Bangalore City having a huge impact. The entrepreneurship cell of IIPM is gaining significant momentum, which is reflected in many students opting for entrepreneurship.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure of this college are really good and include great labs. There is also an air-conditioned library with a capacity for 2,400 students, and all the necessary books are available. Hostel infrastructure includes very sound facilities, including 2 BHK rooms, full-time Wi-Fi, laundry, and security facilities.

Faculty: It had a mixture of fresh and experienced faculty. People with domain knowledge and with experience in the respective field was present. Faculty were very much approachable in terms of solving your difficulties and exam structure is divided into 2 years. In the first year, the entire basics of each specialization is taught. We had a trimester system with 3 end-term exams in a year and each semester had 5-6 subjects.

Other: Yes, I aced a personal interview from the admission cell and on the first day, we got the orientation program with the faculty members as well as college senior management.

Placements: Above 40% of students are placed from my course. The highest package offered for this course is 17 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies hiring students in this college. The percentage of student internships is greater than 30%.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in this course are nice. Wi-Fi, classrooms as well a library are available for students. Canteen food in my college is good. Medical facilities are available in college. Sports and games facilities are also available.

Faculty: Teachers in my course are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. All teachers have greater teaching quality. Course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams in this course are easy therefore pass percentage is more than 50%.

Other: I chose this course to learn the facts and knowledge about this course. Nothing needs to be improved. Festivals are so well celebrated in the college. Scholarships are available for students in the college.

Placements: IIM Bangalore is one of the top management colleges in the country. At this college, 100% of students get placements for our course. All the students get internship opportunities at our college with a handsome stipend.

Infrastructure: The campus of IIM Bangalore is very big, and the infrastructure of the college is top-notch. All the facilities are given to the students, and the quality of this is very good. Placements: There were approximately 90% of students placed in my course. The highest and lowest packages offered were 15 and 7 LPA respectively. Top companies such as Amazon and TCS recruited from my course. There were eighty percent of students who got internships in many companies such as Amazon and Accenture. Companies offer internships to students for roles such as Tally and MS Office Word.

Infrastructure: The college provides many facilities such as Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The labs are also well-equipped and provide all the necessary materials. The classrooms are very huge and can accommodate all the students comfortably. Projectors are also available in the classrooms. The library is also huge and has all types of books. In my hostel, variety of quality food is available. The quality of all food is very good in the mess and the food is prepared hygienically. Sports and games are also available in the college. The college provides many types of games and sports such as cricket, badminton, and indoor and outdoor games.

Faculty: The teachers are well educated, knowledgeable and they provide solutions to every problem. Their teaching quality is very good. They are very friendly in nature. The college also helps students with industrial visits. In every semester students go for industrial visits. The semester exams are difficult. However, with the help of faculty members, students can crack the exams easily and get good marks. Most students pass the exams with a percentage above 70.

Other: After my graduation, I chose this programme because this course is difficult and I love to do things which are difficult . The best thing about my course is that they improve decision making and skills. I think there is no need to improve anything in my course. Events are held by the college which is very good for students, Campus is very well furnished, Wi-Fi connectivity is also good and high-speed internet is provided in all campus. Scholarship is also available but only to those students who can crack the college entrance exam and get good marks. Extra activities are also done by the college which is very good for all the students.

Placements: Approximately 65% of students were placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 2 crore. The lowest salary package offered was 20 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Google, Microsoft, Infosys, etc. Around 55% of students got internships in Infosys.

Infrastructure: In this college, the infrastructure was very good. It provides a Wi-Fi room, playground, badminton court, and tennis courts. The classrooms were technologically advanced. All classes provide digital cameras. The hostel room was available, and I lived in block A. The hostel maid took good care of the students.

Faculty: Faculty members were good. They were well qualified and they were the top teachers in India. They had extraordinary skills for teaching students. The exams were tough, but if students study with sincere and full dedication then they can easily crack the exams with good marks.

Other: I opted for MBA because of my interest in it from a good institute so I researched on Google and I got this institute a good option for me. Moreover in the institute every year an annual fest was held where students participate in different competitions including debate competitions, dance, and singing. I also participated in the dance competition, and our team won the 2nd prize with a cash prize of Rs 60,000. I am satisfied with this college.

The IIM Bangalore placements season for the PGP and PGPBA Class of 2025 at IIM Bangalore ends at a 100% rate. The average and mediocre salary packages stood at INR 34.88 LPA and INR 32.61 LPA, respectively. Complete of 660 offers were extended, including 22 international offers, with 177 companies including in the hiring process. The consulting sector led the placements, accounting for 41% of the total offers.

Designed by BV Doshi IIM Bangalore campus, a 100-acre oasis in south Bengaluru, with its all-stone architecture, lush verdant woods, and landscaped gardens, provides an idyllic environment to engage in management studies, academics, and learning. A new IIMB Jigani campus is also established nearby the IIM B Campus.

IIM-B library is housed in an independent building of 55000 Sq Ft. spread across four levels abutting the amphitheater. Its electronic collection comprises about 79 resources accessible 24 x 7 on and off campus.
IIM-B mess serves four meals every day and there is the night canteen to fuel late-night project submissions.
IIM-B has 16 hostel blocks, one executive block, and the executive accommodation at the Management Development Center, popularly known as MDC. Twenty-four-hour Internet connectivity, fully automatic washing machines, a hair salon, a music room, a student-run library, a recreation room, and a store in the hostel premises are standard features. Laundry and ironing services, an intercom facility, and a guest room facility for visitors are also provided.
