IIM Amritsar Placements 2020: Highest salary rose from 21 LPA to 40 LPA
Not just the highest salary jumped a whopping 90% from its last year’s counterpart but the placement improved considerably in every aspect. Despite being the new one to the legacy of the prominent chain of top business schools, IIM Amritsar lived up to IIMs’ history of excelling in both academics as well as placements.
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar concluded its final placements for the year 2020. Surprisingly, amid the outbreak of the pandemic novel coronavirus, the prestigious business school, IIM Amritsar witnessed 100% placement for its batch. Not just the highest salary jumped a whopping 90% from its last year’s counterpart but the placement improved considerably in every aspect. Despite being the new one to the legacy of the prominent chain of top business schools, IIM Amritsar lived up to IIMs’ history of excelling in both academics as well as placements.
IIM Amritsar placement 2020 witnessed industry leaders coming from domains such as finance, marketing sales, and operations. A considerable hike was observed in the domain of advisory and consulting roles. Three out of four giants in the field of accounting, namely Deloitte, Ernst & Young, and KPMG offered these roles. Additionally, top players such as Amazon, Bisleri, Aditya Birla Sun Life, And Grand Thornton, etc., visited the campus for the first time. Some of the other popular participating firms were ICICI, Accenture, Anand Rathi, L&T and Lombard.
Breaking all the previous records, the institute managed 100% summer placements of its fifth batch even though the batch increased in size by 50%. Also, the internship drive experienced a splendid response from prominent recruiters such as ICICI Lombard, L&T, Cipla, GroupM, Nielsen, CRISIL, Landmark, etc., these firms recruited in several roles like finance, business development, analytic and operations, supply chain, and market research.
This year, the average salary of the students increased from 12.20 to 12.61. The top 25 students were successfully adding 15% to the previous year’s metrics, hence going from 15.51 to 17.86 lakhs per annum. Students also received amazing offers from several domestic and international firms. As compared to last year’s data, the highest stipend rose from 21 lakhs to 40 lakhs this year, which is equivalent to an increase of 15% from last year’s performance.
