Chhattisgarh Budget 2022: Local students exempted from paying examination fees for state exams

Chattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has announced that the local domiciles will not have to pay the examination fees for the exams that are conducted by the state government. Examination fees for exams like PCC, VYAPAM (Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board) and others will have no exam fee for Chhattisgarh students.

On March 9, the Chhattisgarh Budger 2022-23 was presented at the Legislative Assembly. CM Bhupesh Baghel while explaining the key features of the Budget said, "Local students from Chhattisgarh have been exempted from paying examination fees in exams conducted by state PCC, VYAPAM and other state conducted exams."

As per the report of ANI, along with the fee exemption for the local students, state CM also said that Hindi medium schools will be started from this year on the lines of Swami Atmanand English Medium Schools. "A provision of Rs 50 crores has been made for the construction of a total of 106 buildings for hostel-ashrams running without buildings for students belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribe category," Baghel said.
Alongside, the state budget also includes a provision of Rs 2 crores for the launch of 'Chhattisgarh Employment Mission' and a provision of Rs 24 crores has been made for Integrated Pack House in Durg district, informed the Chief Minister. He further briefed about the improvements under his governance and said that the malnutrition rate has decreased by 8.7 per cent which means 1.72 lakh children were brought out of malnutrition.

Earlier, Chhattisgarh Health Minister T S Singh Deo had urged the Union government to allow the students who are coming back from war-torn Ukraine to enroll in the medical colleges in the country after appearing and clearing a test. In a letter to Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, Singh Deo expressed concern about the future of these students.
