Centre for networking intelligence at IISc gets new state-of-the-art networking lab

According to the institute, the test-bed is equipped with network control, management, and analytics platforms (Cisco DNAC centre), wireless controller, enterprise switches and routers, WiFi-6 access points, and an identity management suite.

Centre for Networked Intelligence at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, has got a new state-of-the-art networking lab. The lab, housed in IISc's Department of Electrical Communication Engineering, was inaugurated by Krishna Sundaresan, Vice President, Engineering, Cisco India and SAARC, IISc said in a statement.
The lab, developed in collaboration with Cisco, has a network test-bed that will enable researchers and students to develop applications, algorithms, and experiments in emerging areas in communication and computer networking such as software-defined networking, network function virtualisation, and network slicing, the IISc said.
According to the institute, the test-bed is equipped with network control, management, and analytics platforms (Cisco DNAC centre), wireless controller, enterprise switches and routers, WiFi-6 access points, and an identity management suite.

The IISc has recently introduced a postgraduate level advanced certification program in deep learning. Candidates interested in IISC Admissions 2021 must note that the PG level advanced certification program in deep learning is a 10-month executive education program. IISC will be offering this course to students through virtual mode. Enrolments for the first cohort are open now and classes will commence in March 2021. The course will be taught by a team of 10+ interdisciplinary faculty through live and interactive online classes and mentor them too. 

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) was established in 1909 by the Indian government in Bengaluru. Built across 371 acre of land, it has 40 departments spread across six divisions that offer various UG and PG courses, including BSc, MTech, and PhD amid others.
