Cochin University Placements 2020: 306 Students get placement offers

According to the official information received from the University, more than 300 students got job offers jobs with overwhelming packages from frontline companies.

Cochin University Placements 2021: The placement season of Cochin University witnessed a pleasant response from the recruiters. While the pandemic circumstances delayed the recruitment drive but it is now in full swing at the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). According to the official information received from the University, more than 300 students got job offers jobs with overwhelming packages from frontline companies. The campus placement drive at Cochin University was commenced in August 2020, however, the process got decelerated slightly due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation.

The latest reports suggest that already 35 companies initiated campus recruitment and at the end of phase I, 306 students have received placement offers with an average salary of Rs 4.71 lakh per annum. Meanwhile, a few of the companies offered jobs with packages ranging above Rs 15 lakh annual salary. The recruiters that are currently active with the recruitment process at Cochin University are CISCO, TCS, L&T, GAIL, Infosys, Tata Steel, etc. Following the trend, every year almost around 60 recruiters visit CUSAT for campus selection. Talking about the response that Cochin University received from the recruiters that too amid the novel coronavirus pandemic, CUSAT Chief Placement Officer Jacob Elias said, “Several major companies and certain central government agencies recruiting students from CUSAT for the first time, are scheduled to visit the university in the coming months which will certainly accelerate the process.” So far, almost 300 students of the university have received job offers from leading companies.
