COVID-19 Impact: Allahabad University to conduct final year exam online, promote other students without exam

Allahabad University will be conducting the final year exam this year online and is expected to release the exam schedule today. Read further to know more.

Allahabad University has announced that it has decided to conduct the Final Year Exams this year online. The varsity will be conducting only final semester exams and final year exams online and will be promoting the students of other semester except for the first year and second year and last semesters of graduate students.

The Academic Council of the varsity took the decision to hold the final year exams and final semester exams online during a meeting that was held on August 31, 2020. The varsity, however, had conducted the graduation exams for nine days before the lockdown started. The remaining exams will be conducted by the Allahabad University online now. 

Those students who will be appearing for the online exams will have to download the question paper from the official website of the varsity. The exam duration will be for four hours in which 2 hours will be given for writing the exam and two hours to scan the answer sheets and uploading it. Once the writing part is completed, students will have to scan the copy and upload it to the official site at allduniv.ac.in.

According to the Controller of Examinations, students who will be promoted will be given the mark sheet on the basis of the exams they have already appeared for. The varsity will calculate the marks obtained in the exams and on the basis of the average marks, the mark sheet would be given out.

As per the media reports, the varsity is expected to release the exam schedule today, i.e. September 1. The final year and final semester exams are proposed to be conducted from the second week of September.

Meanwhile, Lucknow University has already released the exam date sheet for final year exams. The examination will begin on September 8 and will be concluded on September 19. The time table has been released for  BA, BSc, BCom, and other undergraduate-level programs on the official site.
