Women’s Commission chief Swati Maliwal has issued a notice to Delhi Police and the college authorities and sought a copy of the First Information Report (FIR) along with details of those arrested. The Commission has also asked the details of security arrangements done by the Delhi Police and college authorities during the fest.

She further added that whatever has happened is extremely unfortunate. “We have seen a number of cases in the past wherein girl students have been harassed by antisocial elements who forcibly enter colleges, especially during fests,” she said.

She also demanded action against persons responsible for security lapses. "Delhi Police and Delhi University must work together to ensure that such incidents never happen again," she added.

The commission has requested an explanation for the security lapse during the festival as well as specifics regarding the actions taken against those accountable. Also, it has requested copies of any communications made in this respect from the police and the college.
