IGNOU launches PG Diploma in electronic media programme, apply on or before August 12
Indira Gandhi National Open University’s (IGNOU) School of Journalism and New Media Studies (SOJNMS) has announced a new PG Diploma in Electronic Media through Open & Distance Learning mode programme. The new programme was launched with an aim to integrate recommendations of National Education Policy 2020 into its academic endeavour and provide the skill based programmes, the institute said.
All the candidates who are interested must note that the duration of PG Diploma in Electronic Media programme will be for a minimum of one year and a maximum of three years. The medium of instruction for the programme will be in English. However, students will also be given option to write examinations, assignments, practicals and projects in Hindi also.
The programme fee for IGNOU Post Graduate Diploma in Electronic Media is INR 9,500. In case of any query about the programme, candidates are advised to check the official website for more details. Interested candidates can take admission and register by visiting the official website; i.e. ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. The last date to submit the application form on or before August 12, 2022.
IGNOU Vice Chancellor Nageshwar Rao along with the other guests launched the programme in a virutal mode. Professor Pushpesh Pant and Subhash Dhuliya, former vice chancellor Uttarakhand Open University were also present in the ceremony and also spoke on the need to have more such skill-based coursesin field of mass communication as envisaged in the NEP 2020.
They also spoke on the changing dynamics of the media-landscape and need for audio and audio-visual content development training in news and other genres.
