IISER Kolkata invites applications for research associate, last date to apply is March 31

According to the official information released by IISER Kolkata, the position is available in the interface of Chemistry and Biology at the Department of Chemical Sciences, IISER Kolkata.

IISER Kolkata Admissions 2021: Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Kolkata opened the admission application window for a Research Associate Position under Raja Ramanna Fellowship Project at the Institute. According to the official information released by IISER Kolkata, the position is available in the interface of Chemistry and Biology at the Department of Chemical Sciences, IISER Kolkata.

“The research activities will be centred around designing receptor-specific lipid-based drug and gene delivery systems for use in targeted cancer therapy and in dendritic cell based cancer immunotherapy,” the institute said.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants interested in IISER Kolkata Admission 2021 must note that they should hold Phd in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Life science with proven publication track records.

The details regarding the desirable additional experience and qualifications are as follows, the applicant must have a minimum of two years’ research experience in research with amphiphilic molecules and/or in working with liposomal drug & gene delivery systems with at least one publication in peer-reviewed journals; at least one-year research experience in animal cell culture techniques. Familiarity with in vivo animal research protocols would be very useful.

Applicant must not be over 35 years as on April 6, 2021. However, relaxation for certain reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India is available. Relaxation in age, educational qualification or experience may be considered in the case of exceptionally meritorious candidates.

Candidates must note that the duration of the position is one year with a remuneration of Rs. 47, 000/ plus admissible HRA per month. Shortlisting and selection will be based on an Online (Google Meet) interview at 11.30 am on April 6, 2021.
