Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar is all set to complete its end-semester examinations of all undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses, except first-year UG courses, by May 12. Meanwhile, the examinations of the first-year UG students will end by July 15. Talking about the declaration of the results, IIT Bhubaneswar director RV Rajakumar told that results of these tests will be published after two weeks of the completion of the examinations. “After two weeks of summer break, new academic year will start in the first week of August this year,” he added.

He further said that “the practical classes in the laboratory will be completed by end of next week for 50% of the students. “For some of the batches, laboratory classes are already over. We have postponed the laboratory classes for fifth batch, who were planning to come to the institute on April 4. We are yet to take any decision to bring sixth and seventh batches because of the increasing Covid cases.”

He said they have not curtailed the syllabi of the courses and offered full and uncompromised education to their students. “We are working on completing the courses and examinations in time,” he added.
