IIT Madras and Hyundai Motor India Join Hands
Indian Institute of Technology Madras in collaboration with Hyundai Motor India Foundation has launched ‘Hyundai Hope for Cancer’ initiative aimed at transforming paediatric cancer care in India. As part of this multi-year commitment, HMIF has dedicated INR 56 Crore as social impact investment towards the project.
As part of its INR 56 Crore commitment, HMIF has set up a dedicated INR 3 Crore Cancer Care Fund to ensure equitable access to treatment for underprivileged patients. Over next four years, Centre will organise over 225 cancer awareness and screening camps across Tamil Nadu, Haryana and Maharashtra benefiting 1.27 lakh individuals and vaccinating more than 5,000 girl children against HPV.
Centre will advance genomic sequencing to identify genetic mutations, paving the way for a national paediatric cancer genome database and personalised treatment protocols. It will also function as a collaborative hub for clinicians, researchers, pharmaceutical scientists, and global partners, contributing to global initiatives such as the International Cancer Genome Consortium and WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer.

In BTech EE, the median and average salary offered was 22.5 LPA and 28.8 LPA. In ME, MM and PH branch, the average package stood at 16.9 LPA, 18.4 LPA and 34.1 LPA.
IIT Madras overall highest package data is not released. The best placement was observed in BTech CS branch with average package of INR 53.2 LPA.
During MBA and Tech MBA placements 2025, the highest package offered was 35.5 LPA and 81 LPA.
IIT Madras MTech placements are good. For top MTech branch such as CS, the median and average package recorded in 2025 was 24.6 LPA and 29 LPA. In MTech branch such as EE, CH and CE, the median package recorded was 22.1 LPA, 15 LPA and 18 LPA.
