IIT Madras to host ‘Gandhi and Cities’ webinar on Republic Day
The webinar will be conducted on the topic of ‘Gandhi and Cities: Challenges of affordable and sustainable growth’ by Dr Narain.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, is all set to host a webinar on this Republic Day. According to the reports, the webinar at IIT Madras will be hosted by Padma Recipient Dr Sunita Narain, Director-General, Centre for Science and Environment, New Delhi. The webinar will be conducted on the topic of ‘Gandhi and Cities: Challenges of affordable and sustainable growth’ by Dr Narain. She has also served as a member of the Prime Minister’s Council on Climate Change. Currently, Dr Narain has been appointed as a member of one health global leaders group on anti-microbial resistance which reports to the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
The reports also suggest that the webinar will be hosted on January 26, at around 11 am. Professor Sudhir Chella Rajan, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and Indo-German Centre for Sustainability, IIT Madras, will moderate the webinar. Students, teachers, Policymakers, Think tanks, government officials, civil society, researchers, the general public, and research groups are expected to benefit from this lecture.
