JNU Reopening: The Jawaharlal Nehru University is reopening its campus in a phased manner. In the next phase of reopening, JNU on February 28 stated that “all final-year MPhil students who require access to the premises for submitting their dissertation on time will be allowed entry from March 8.” Apart from reopening the premises for MPhil final-year students, the university also permitted Bachelors and Masters students under the PWD category to enter the campus if they require access to laboratories and other facilities.

The official order released by the University reads, "The reopening of all authorised canteens except 'Mughal durbar' and food court has been allowed with immediate effect, besides railway reservation counter and service providing shops like hair saloon, cobblers and xerox outlets.”

Earlier, during the different phases of reopening, JNU allowed fourth semester MPhil and MTech students of its science school and special centre, as well as final semester MBA students, both day-scholars and hostel residents, to return to campus. A notification released during JNU’s eighth and ninth phase, dated February 12 stated, “While the ‘9B students’ (day-scholars), who have to submit their theses on or before June 30, are allowed to enter the campus from Monday, PhD scholars residing in the hostels will be allowed to return from February 22.”
