Jawaharlal Nehru University has been ranked second among the top universities of India in the NIRF ranking 2023. Thus, it is a good university for BSc course aspirants. Candidates seeking admission to the JNU MA course must have a BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks. Candidates who have passed BSc/ BCom/ BA with Mathematics at Class 12 or at Graduation level with a minimum aggregate of 55%. Apart from the minimum eligibility requirement, candidates also need to appear for the Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) CUET-PG entrance test.

JNU BA (Hons) cutoff 2025 was between the range of 59.28 and 74.4, among the General All India category candidates. The cutoff range was between the range of 59.8 and 69.64, for various BA (Hons) specialisations. Among the SC AI category candidates, cutoff ranks varied between 52.51 and 65.58.

As per the overall report, the median package offered to the selected candidates stood at INR 7.95 LPA. A marginal decline of nearly 1% can be seen in the PG 2-year median package offered in 2022 as compared with 2021. Moreover, many top companies recruit JNU graduates every year. JNU cutoff 2025 is out for admission to MA, MSc, MTech and MCA based on CUET- PG. For the General AI category, in the first round, the cutoff ranged from 27.33 and 99.33. MA in Hindi was the toughest for this category, followed by MA in Hindi Translation and MA in Sanskrit. Please note that this data only applies to the General AI category quota, and other categories, rounds and specialisations will reflect different cutoffs. Only the students who appeared for CUET-UG can apply for JNU UG & Certificate of To be eligible to apply for JNU UG & Certificate of Proficiency (COP) courses, students need to first appear for the CUET-UG exam and qualify on the basics of the cutoff list released, as the selection is according to the CUET score and deprivation points. JNU offers a full-time BA (Hons) programme for a duration of three years via its School of Language, Literature and Culture Studies. Candidates seeking admission to JNU BA (Hons) course must visit the official website of the University to apply for the CUET-UG entrance test. For JNU BA (Hons) courses, it is mandatory to appear for the CUET-UG exam. Based on the score secured in the entrance test, JNU will release a merit list of selected candidates to register for the CUET-UG counselling process. 

The expected counselling rounds for the JEE Main counselling process could be conducted in 6 rounds going as per last year's counselling process. All candidates with a valid JEE Main score are eligible to participate in JoSSA for admission to various BTech courses. The counselling process includes registration, online filling and locking of choices, seat allotment, where students can choose between freeze, float or slide option, after which verification of documents is required and physical reporting to the allotted institution.  

Jawaharlal Nehru University admission to the BTech course is based on valid JEE Main scores, followed by the counselling process. JNU BTech cutoff 2024 was concluded after the released of JEE Main Round 7 Seat Allotment Result. As per JNU BTech cutoff 2024, the closing rank for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering was 33509 and for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, it was 47591.

Jawaharlal Nehru University accepts JEE Main scores, followed by the JoSAA counselling process for admission to the BTech courses. JNU BTech cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1 wherein CSE was the most competitive course with a closing rank of 22669 for the General AI category students. For the OBC category, the cutoff  was 10003 for CSE and 12811 for ECE programmes.

Yes, JNU accepts CAT scores for admission in the MBA course. Candidates must appear for this exam and achieve a valid aggregate in the same. They must also appear for a PI round. Based on these, the merit list is released and selected candidates must appear for verification and pay the tuition fees for admission confirmation. 

JNU BTech in Computer Science and Engineering cutoff ranks 2022 for other than General category were - 46386 for OBC, 150282 for SC, 227648 for ST, 39530 for EWS, 561 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. The cutoff also varies if the applicant is a female.
