Mysore University Undergraduate exams postponed

The University of Mysore has postponed the undergraduate examinations that were scheduled to be conducted from today; i.e. September 3. The undergraduate examination will now be conducted from September 13.

Registrar (Evaluation) Gnana Prakash told an English daily that the examination had been rescheduled on the request from students as well as colleges. “We had received petitions from the students as well as college managements for putting off the examination for a few days as the students wanted a little more time for preparation,” he said.

"The 6th semester (CBCS/non-CBCS-Freshers), 2nd semester (CBCS-repeaters) and 2, 4 and 6th semester (non-CBCS repeaters) examination that was supposed to start from Friday has been put off to September 13," the UoM notification stated.

The revised timetable of the examination will be notified soon, he said.

Around 187 colleges across the state are affiliated to this university. The University of Mysore offers 72 programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels in various disciplines of arts, commerce, science, engineering, law and education. It also extends a range of diploma and certificate courses in all streams.

Affiliated with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), the institution is recognised as an A-Grade institution of higher education by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The University has been re-accredited by the Council with 3.47 CGBPA out of 4 and is ranked 27th best in the University Category and 47th in Overall Category by the National Institute of Ranking Framework 2020.
