Punjabi University to take theory examination online from September 25, check details here

According to the official reports released by Punjabi University, the theory exams would be of two hours during which students would solve 50 per cent of the question paper.

Punjabi University Patiala decided to conduct the theory examinations of final semester/classes from September, 25 this year onwards while the practical examinations of these classes would be conducted by principals or Heads at their college or department level through online mode by September 19, 2020. According to the official reports released by Punjabi University, the theory exams would be of two hours during which students would solve 50 per cent of the question paper and they will also take care that they have solved the question paper of 50 per cent marks of total or maximum marks. 

Considering the ongoing situation, the university authorities adopted such mode so that the students are able to solve the papers while staying at home only. The university would release necessary guidelines regarding this soon. Students must know that the instructions regarding the examinations will be uploaded accordingly on the website. The official data suggest, there are around 78000 exiting students including the main campus of Punjabi University, its neighbourhood campuses and constituent colleges and in the affiliated colleges. Also, the university authorities claimed that around 70 per cent of the students hail from rural Punjab. 
The Examination Controller Punjabi University, Jaswinder Singh Khattar said, "The date-sheet for the examination will be released soon and it is clear that we would need around the first week of October this year to get conducted the examination. We are working further on the modalities over this matter. The date for the online practical examination will be announced soon as these will have to get completed by August 19." 

The media reports also claim that the university authorities would be holding an online meeting on September 10 morning to discuss more on this issue. According to the source, university authorities are planning to give time to the students for downloading question papers and then uploading their answer-sheets or they can submit in the nearby university colleges or the students can also speed post their answer-sheets in case of absence of any above-said facility.
