SPPU begins new batch of gym instructor certificate course

Admission to the course will be done on a first come first basis and will take place from February 8 to February 13, 2021. 

Savitribai Phule Pune University is now inviting applications for its sixth batch of Certificate course in gym instructor and gym management. The Department of Physical Education, SPPU will begin the course on February 22, 2021. Anyone up to the age of 60yrs who is a Class 12th pass out can apply for the three-month course. Admission to the course will be done on a first come first basis and will take place from February 8 to February 13, 2021. 

Candidates can visit the official website of the SPPU to register. SPPU commenced the academic year for the first year postgraduate courses in the University Departments and affiliated colleges and recognized institutions for the 2020-21 academic year from January 28, 2021.

According to the said schedule, SPPU will begin the first term of the classes for the academic year from January 28 to May 22, 2021, and the second term will be conducted from June 15 to October 1, 2021. The classes will be conducted for the Science and Technology, Commerce and Management, Humanities and Interdisciplinary Studies programmes offered by the university. Considering the risk of COVID-19 spread and following the precautionary laid down by the health ministry against the pandemic, the programmes will be conducted in the online mode. The reports suggest that the varsity decided to continue the conduction of the classes online until further notice.

Colleges, universities and other educational institutions across the country have opted for online classes post the COVID-19 outbreak in the country, which lead to the closure of academic institutions.
