Universities in Kerala postpone exams amid PFI hartal, revised schedule to be out soon

Universities in Kerala have postponed their exams until further notice owing to the hartal called by the Popular Front of India (PFI) today; i.e. September 23, 2022. Kerala University, MG University and Kannur University have cancelled the exam which was scheduled to be held today. Along with the postponed exam announcement, Kerala University has also postponed the spot allotment for BEd Admissions.

Now, the Kerala University Spot Admission 2022 for BEd will take place on Sunday; i.e. September 25, 2022. The Kerala Public Service Commission, KPSC has also informed that the exams and other services scheduled for today will take place as per schedule. No change has been made for the KPSC Exams due to the PFI Hartal.

Meanwhile, Kannur University has released the revised timetable for its postponed exams. However, Kerala and MG Universities are yet to announce the revised schedule. The dates for the practical exams will be announced later.

PFI has called for a state-wide hartal today, September 23 against the raids that have been carried out in PFI's office, houses of leaders and other premises. As per reports, the raids against PFI were led by National Investigation Agency (NIA) for allegedly supporting terror activities in the country. The official statement issued by PFI states that "the hartal tomorrow will take place from 6 am to 6 pm."

Meanwhile, Kerala police has said that it will take action against anyone who attempt to close shops by use of force during the hartal. They will be arrested immediately, the police said.
