CSIR NET Exam Analysis 2021-22: Check Earth Sciences Difficulty Level & Student Reaction

National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the CSIR NET 2021-22 exam for the Earth; Atmospheric; Ocean and Planetary Sciences paper on January 29, 2022. The exam was conducted online in the second shift from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm. As per the feedback shared by the canddiates who appeared for the CSIR NET Earth Sciences paper, the overall difficulty level of the CSIR NET exam was moderate.
The CSIR NET question paper 2021-22 of the Earth Sciences paper comprised 20 MCQs from logical reasoning, analytical and numerical ability, graphical analysis, quantitative comparison, series formation, puzzles etc. Candidates needed to attempt 15 questions in Part A.
In Part B and C of the CSIR NET Earth Sciences paper, questions were subject-specific and tested candidates' knowledge of scientific concepts and application of the scientific concepts.
CSIR NET Exam Analysis 2021-22: Student Reaction
Shiksha visited one of the CSIR NET exam centres in Delhi to obtain the feedback of candidates who appeared for the Earth Sciences paper. Have a look at the student reaction below:
Yatharth stated, "The exam difficulty level was moderate, was not so difficult. If the concepts are clear, you can crack the exam easily. Part A was comprised of questions from Logical Reasoning, Ration & Proportion, Percentage, etc. Part B difficulty level was moderate and Part C was a bit difficult.
Anjani stated, "Overall difficulty level was moderate. Part A was moderate and consisted of questions from Logical Reasoning. Part B and C were moderate."
Raman stated, "The difficulty level of the exam was moderate to difficult. Part A and B were easy to attempt; however, Part C was a bit hard.

Each question in Part A and B of the Earth Sciences paper carries two marks and each question in Part C carries four marks. There is a negative marking for wrong answers. 25 per cent marks will be deducted in Part A and B and 33 per cent will be deducted in Part C for each incorrect answer.
