As per a notification shared by AICTE through its Twitter handle, the decision has been taken for continuing the education of working professionals

The All India Council for Technical Education has allowed working professionals to pursue B.Tech, BE degrees from AICTE-affiliated institutes. This is a continuous education programme for in-service persons for their professional upgradation.

The AICTE has invited applications from engineering colleges and institutes willing to offer Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Engineering programmes to working professionals. The courses will be offered from the upcoming academic session 2023-24.

As per a notification shared by AICTE through its Twitter handle, the decision has been taken for continuing the education of working professionals, and help students who cannot afford the fee for higher technical education.

“The courses will be designed as per the convenience of students and institutions, with flexible timings and modes,” reads a tweet from AICTE.

As per Hindustan Times, the technical schools will be allowed to decide their mode of conducting classes online or offline, schedules and timetables. Only working professionals in recognised industries or organizations will be eligible to take admission to these programmes. The applicants will also have to submit an undertaking from their employer with the institutions.
