The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani has started the registration for admission to board toppers. Through this scheme, the institute will give direct admission to first rankers of all the central and state boards to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT 2026 score.

BITS Board Topper Admission Scheme 2026: Registrations Open

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani has started the registration for admission to board toppers. Through this scheme, the institute will give direct admission to first rankers of all the central and state boards to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT 2026 score. Candidates who appeared for the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) stream will be considered for admission to any of the first-degree programmes of his/her choice. The first rank holder of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) stream will be considered for admission to B.Pharm. or B.E. Environmental and Sustainability Engineering programme only.

The last date to apply for the scheme is June 30, 5 PM. Candidates who wish to apply for direct admission have to apply online at admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in. The direct link to apply for the BITS Pilani Topper Admission is given below.

BITS Pilani Direct Topper Admission Scheme Eligibility Criteria

A topper who seeks admission under this scheme must fulfil the following criteria:
a) The topper must have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology subjects in 12th class examination and
b) He/She has obtained the highest aggregate percentage of marks in the 12th class in 2026 from the Board. For calculating the aggregate percentage, the aggregate marks should include the marks of PCM and /or Biology subjects in addition to other subjects which are required to pass the 12th class examination from the Board under consideration. Further, the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology subject marks should be included in the aggregate, irrespective of whether the Physics, Chemistry, and
Mathematics/Biology subjects are identified as main/optional/elective in his marksheet(s).
c) This offer of admission is open only to the student who has obtained the first rank in the board as per the announcement by the Board. If more than one candidate has
been declared as the first rank holder by a Board, BITS Pilani will offer admission to a maximum of 4 candidates only under this scheme. If there are more than four candidates declared as first rank holders by a Board, the authoties will apply a tie-breaking criteria.

Q:   How is BITSAT merit list prepared?
A: 

BITSAT merit list will be prepared after checking performance of students in exam. Merit list will be released as admit and wait list. Students in admit list will be eligible for admission, while those in wait list will be called in for next round of allotment.

Q:   Will the BITSAT 2026 toppers list be announced?
A: 

No. The BITS Pilani authorities do not announce the list of BITSAT toppers. However, if the list of toppers is released, the students will be able to access it here. Students will be scored as per their performance in the exam. If both exam sessions are attempted, then the best score will be considered for admission.

Q:   When will BITSAT 2026 admit card be available?
A: 

BITSAT 2026 admit card date for session 1 was issued on April 10, 2026 and for session 2 was issued on May 20, 2026. Students have to check their test city allotment first, book their slots, and then download their admit cards.
