The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has published the COMEDK UGET cutoffs and vacant seats data following the round 1 allotment process. Candidates can check the closing ranks for participating colleges on the website, comedk.org. The authorities have released the COMEDK cutoffs as the closing ranks at which admissions were offered to different courses. Students with ranks above the cutoffs have been given admission to the institute. It is important to check the cutoffs to know their admission chances.
Along with this, students can check the vacant seats after round 1 allotment. It is useful in understanding the branch-wise availability of seats at participating institutes. After round 1, the total number of vacant seats is 8,454. Of these, 5,668 seats fall under the general merit category, while 2,786 seats are for KKR category candidates.

COMEDK UGET 2026 Round 1 Vacant Seat Update
The authorities have announced that there are a total of 8,454 seats left vacant after round 1 allotment. Moreover, 5,668 seats are available for GM students and the remaining for the KKR candidates. As expected, top institutes such as Ramaiah University College of Engineering, Siddaganga Institute of Technology, R V College of Engineering, M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology have no vacant seats in any of the branches.
However, this is not final. Candidates must wait for the final PDF before round 2 COMEDK counselling 2026 because by then students would have finalised their decision. Students have time until July 31 to accept or reject the allotted seat.
