The JEE Main 2025 minimum marks or the safe marks that candidates need to be able to qualify for JEE Advanced 2025 are around 94 percentile for the general category candidates. This is analysed by the experts based on the exam held so far.
JEE Main 2025 April 3 exam took place in two shifts. The difficulty level varied significantly between these two sessions. Candidates who took the second shift found the overall exam to be moderate to tough. Specifically, they reported that Physics and Maths were manageable, but Chemistry was quite challenging. In contrast, those in the first shift felt the exam was easier overall, with Physics and Maths being easy to moderate and Chemistry rated as very easy.

Because the difficulty levels differed, it’s been somewhat challenging for experts to determine the exact JEE Main 2025 cutoff score needed to qualify for JEE Advanced. The exam authority, NTA, will adjust scores from all test sessions to ensure fairness despite the variations in difficulty via the normalisation process. The final results for JEE Main 2025 will be announced by April 17 on the NTA’s official website. The JEE Main 2025 April session result will have the JEE Main cutoff for JEE Advanced 2025 and also the All India ranks of the candidates.
