Education Minister asks NIT Hamirpur to fill vacant post in mission mode
The education minister also stressed the need of making the education system multidisciplinary.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has asked the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur to fill up vacant posts at the earliest. The Education Minister also reviewed the academic activities and future plans of the institute.
The Education Minister has urged the institute to fill up vacancies in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to recruit 10 lakh people in various government departments in one and half years.
Sharing the Pradhan wrote on his Twitter handle: “Overviewed a presentation on the academic activities and future plan of @NITHamirpurHP with Director Prof. H.M. Suryawanshi and other senior academics of the institute earlier today.”
He also stated that in line with PM Modi’s directive to fill up 10 lakh vacancies in mission-mode in the next 1.5 years, “I have urged @NITHamirpurHP to fast-track the recruitment process and fill all teaching and non-teaching vacancies at the earliest” Pradhan wrote.
The education minister also stressed the need of making the education system multidisciplinary. Pradhan said: “We have to make our education multi-disciplinary. Suggested @NITHamirpurHP to promote courses on liberal arts, Himalayan architecture & crafts, hydro projects among others.”
He also stressed that NIT Hamirpur should also engage in skill development and strengthen skilling in frontier and emerging areas.
