GATE 2022 website launched, registration begins on August 30; check details here
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, has launched the official website for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022. Interested candidates can apply through newly launched portal: gate.iitkgp.ac.in.
IIT Kharagpur will conduct GATE 2022 on February 5, 6, 12 and 13 in 2022. The exam authorities have added two new papers β Geomatics Engineering (GE) and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NM) this year. GATE 2022 admit card can be downloaded from January 3 and the results will be announced on March 17. All dates are tentative and can possibly be revised in view of the pandemic situation.
A candidate appearing in one or two papers should fill in only one application form. In case of multiple applications, only one will be accepted and remaining applications will be rejected without any refund for the paid fee.The online application process for GATE 2022 began on August 30. Candidates can submit their forms and pay fee till September 24 (regular) or October 1 (with a late fee).
GATE 2022 eligibility criteria
A candidate who is currently studying in the third year of any undergraduate programme or has already completed any government-approved degree program in engineering / technology /architecture /science /commerce /arts is eligible to appear for GATE 2022.

GATE is a computer-based MCQ-based exam conducted for admission of students to postgraduate engineering programmes (ME/MTech) offered by IITs, NITs, IIITs and other institutes. As per the GATE exam pattern, there will be two sections in the question paper with a total of 65 questions to be answered within a span of three hours.
