Who can apply for IIT Madras GATE 2026 MTech programme?
The following candidates can apply for IIT Madras MTech 2026 admission -
- GATE qualified candidates (2026, 2025, and 2024)
- IT Graduates with BTech degree
- Candidates sponsored by different organisations recognised by DST as Research and Development units.
- UOP candidates
- QIP candidates
- Defence-sponsored candidates

IIT Madras MTech Admission through GATE COAP 2026
Applicants who have registered for MTech programmes at IIT Madras can check their admission offers on the COAP portal. Registration at COAP is mandatory, as the offers will be displayed. COAP registration 2026 will be available soon.
GATE 2026 IIT Madras MTech Application Fees
The registration fee is INR 300 for SC/ST/PwD and female candidates, and INR 600 for others. Candidates can make their fee payment through netbanking/credit card/debit card or UPI.
