What changes can we expect in GATE 2027?
This year, IIT Madras will conduct the GATE 2027 exam; and what we can expect this year is an introduction to facial recognition during registration. The main objective of implementing this new feature is for candidates’ authentication and verification. The facial recognition for GATE registration was earlier tested by IIT Madras (as a trial) for the students whose exam centre was under IIT Madras zone. The main purpose of the facial recognition is reduce the chances of fake IDs and identities.
