GATE Hall Ticket 2026 Release Date Likely Jan 7

As per past year trends the GATE 2026 admit card is likely to be released on January 7, 2026. The new GATE admit card 2026 date has not been announced yet. Though once released, canddates can download the admit card from the website, gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Registered applicants need to log in to the portal using their enrollment ID and password.

Is It Mandatory to Download GATE 2026 Admit Card?

The GATE hall ticket is a mandatory document for appearing in the test. It will have details such as the candidate’s name, photograph, exam date, paper code, reporting time, exam centre address and exam day guidelines. In case of any errors on the admit card, candidates must contact the GATE helpdesk immediately. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam centre without the hall ticket. Aspirants also have to carry a valid photo ID proof such as an Aadhaar card, passport, voter ID or driving licence.

GATE Exam Date 2026

Though the GATE 2026 admit card release date has been postponed, there are no changes to the scheduled exam date. The organising institute, IIT Guwahati, will hold the GATE 2026 exam on February 7, 8, 15 and 16, 2026.
