GATE 2026 Admit Card Live: IIT Guwahati postpones MTech hall ticket, Link soon at gate2026.iitg.ac.in

Students will have to download only one GATE admit card, even if they have registered for two papers for GATE. The admit card will have the exam date and time of primary and secondary paper.

No, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering examination takes place once a year. Every year, different IITs and IISc conduct exam on rotational basis. GATE is conducted online for three hours for 30 branch papers. 

The full form of GATE is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. The exam is conducted anually by different IITs and IISc on rotational basis.

The GATE exam centre for paper 1 and 2 may vary. However, the test centre will be allotted based on the choices submitted at the time of registration. Candidates are advised to check all their venue carefully.

IIT Guwahati has made specific changes in GATE exam this year, which are as follows-

• The GATE 2026 application fees have been revised. 
• A new sectional paper, called Energy Science, is introduced under Engineering Sciences. The GATE Energy-Science paper code is XE-I.
