GATE Admit Card 2026: Release Date, Exam Schedule & Timings, Documents Needed at Centre
The GATE admit card 2026 will be released as per the GATE 2026 admit card date mentioned by the IIT Guwahati. GATE admit card 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) will activate the GATE admit card 2026 link at gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Candidates who have registered for GATE 2026 can download their hall ticket at GOAPS using their enrollment ID and password on January 2, 2026.
Students must note that the GATE 2026 admit card will release online only. Students appearing for the entrance test on the scheduled GATE exam date must carry their admit card along with a valid ID proof to the centre.
How to download GATE admit card 2026: Step-by-step Guide
Candidates can download their GATE exam admit card 2026 by following the process below -
- Once, the admit card of GATE 2026 is released, candidates must visit gate2026.iitg.ac.in
- Then click on “application portal” the GOAPS portal will be displayed on screen
- Now enter your GATE enrollment ID and password along with captcha code.
- An option for “download GATE admit card 2026” will be available on dashboard.
- Click on it and the hall ticket will be saved
- Check all details and take a printout.
In case, there is any discrepancy immediately contact the GATE exam conducting authorities mentioning the issue before GATE 2026 exam date.
GATE 2026 Exam Date and Timings
IIT Guwahati has released GATE 2026 exam date for all 30 branch papers. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering will be conducted on multiple dates: February 7, 8, 14, and 15, in two shifts.
- GATE 2026 CSE and CE will be conducted in two shifts on February 8, and February 14, 2026 respectively.
- On the other hand, GATE 2026 EE paper (first shift) and GATE 2026 ME (second shift) will be held on February 14, 2026.
- GATE 2026 ECE paper will be conducted on February 15, 2026 (first shift).
GATE Exam 2026 Shift Timings
IIT GATE 2026 exam will be conducted in two shifts, the timings can be checked below -
- Forenoon - 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
- Afternoon - 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm
GATE 2026: Documents to be carried to the exam centre
Candidates appearing for the exam must carry their GATE admit card 2026 along with a valid ID proof, a transparent water bottle and a pen/pencil to do rough work. It is advised to reach the GATE 2026 centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam. Scribble pad will be provided inside the exam hall.
