GATE 2027: IIT Madras allows registering through unverified DigiLocker Account, Know Application Last Date

As per the latest update for GATE exam registration, IIT Madras have stated that registration through an unverified DigiLocker account is acceptable. Candidates who want to apply for GATE 2027 can check complete information, along with GATE form last date 2027, fees, and more.

IIT Madras is currently conducting GATE exam registration 2027 process on gate2027.iitm.ac.in. Candidates who were facing confusion stating that they have registered using unverified DigiLocker account, then such candidates must not worry. According to the latest update on GATE’s official website, IIT Madras has allowed registering through DigiLocker account for GATE 2027 exam.

Candidates whose DigiLocker account is not verified, can select “Default ID” proof during GATE application form-filling process. However, such exam form of such applicants will be scrutinised after the GATE 2027 registration last date for necessary documents. While filling the GATE form, candidates must confirm consent and give access to the folder for three years. 

GATE Application Last Date

IIT Madras will close the application form on September 27, 2026, with regular fees. However, candidates can still apply till October 5, 2026 with late fees. Once the form is submitted, candidates can check their GATE application status at GOAPS using their enrolment ID and password. The rectification window will be made available from October 14 to 21, 2026. 

NOTE: If there is any discrepancy, then candidates will be notified on their registered email ID and mobile number. 

IIT Madras will conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering for six days for 30 subjects. The GATE 2027 exam dates are Feb 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027.
