IIT Delhi Updates: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and France's Sorbonne University have strengthened their strategic partnership by expanding collaboration in research, academics, innovation and student mobility. This move reflects growing India-France partnership and shared goal of advancing education, technology and research.

Building on success of Franco-Indian Integrated Health Campus, two institutions will launch a joint Master's programme in Biological Science and a joint PhD programme. In June 2026, an IIT Delhi delegation led by Director Prof. Rangan Banerjee visited Sorbonne University to deepen institutional ties and identify new areas of collaboration.

During the visit, both institutions discussed expanding their partnership beyond healthcare into emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Material Science, Informatics, Computer Science, Robotics, and other interdisciplinary areas with significant scientific and social impact.
