IIT Delhi PhD Admission 2026: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has started special PhD admission application correction facility for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. As per schedule, they can make changes in IIT Delhi PhD admission application form online till 4 PM today. Only registered candidates can edit IIT Delhi special drive PhD application form by visiting official website. 

Candidates applying through special admission drive must ensure they meet eligibility requirements mentioned in official PhD admission brochure issued by IIT Delhi. This initiative is being conducted under Faculty Initiative Admission category for first semester of academic year 2026-27. 

Who are eligible for IIT Delhi Special PhD Admission 2026?

As per eligibility criteria for hostel accommodation, Undergraduate (UG), Master of Science (MSc) or Master of Application students may be allotted seats on priority. IIT Delhi has also clarified its hostel policy for newly admitted students. Due to a shortage of hostel accommodation, IIT Delhi cannot guarantee on-campus housing for all postgraduate and PhD students. 

Institute will make every effort to provide hostel accommodation, subject to availability, to female students, Students with Disabilities (SwD/PwD), and foreign nationals. Objective of special admission drive is to fill tentative vacant PhD seats for candidates belonging to SC, and ST categories.
