IIT Gandhinagar Opens Portal For International Admission
IIT Gandhinagar is inviting international students to engage in advanced studies and cutting-edge research, participate in courses, or pursue internships and project studies. Internation students can apply for IITGN MTech and PhD programs for semester II online by visiting the official website. All IIT Gandhinagar MTech and PhD admission application forms must be submitted online. There is no application fee, and they are not required to send a hard copy of the form by mail.
The last date to submit the IIT Gandhinagar MTech and PhD admission application form is October 22, 2024. International students joining the Institute, regardless of their program, are eligible to apply for financial support. The fellowship amount varies based on the degree pursued and can cover between 50% to 100% of the costs. Awards are granted on a merit and need basis, assessed on an individual case-by-case basis.

After submission, the application number will be displayed. International candidates must download and save the PDF for future reference. Once the application is reviewed for completeness, it will be forwarded to the relevant discipline for further consideration. Following an internal review, if shortlisted, they will be invited for an interview and/or test, which will be conducted remotely via phone or the Internet (Skype). IIT Gandhinagar admission process is entirely based on the selection of candidates via popular entrance exams such as JEE Advanced and GATE, etc., for courses such as BTech and MTech, respectively. Further, IIT Gandhinagar conducts an institute-level test for the selection MA and PhD courses. Candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as per the course requirements and then qualify for the respective entrance exam in order to secure a seat at IIT Gandhinagar.
