IIT Gandhinagar PhD Admission 2026: Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar is accepting application for Maritime Engineering Department 2026-27. Candidates with minimum of 55% marks and 50% marks for SC/ST/PwD or 5.5 CPI and 5.0 CPI for SC/ST/PwD in postgraduate degree programme or in 4 years bachelor degree programme in respective branch are eligible for IITGN PhD admission to Maritime Engineering department. 

Last date to complete IITGN application form for PhD admission is May 27, 2026, by 5 PM. It must be noted that candidates admitted to PhD programme under CDP category can directly join PhD programme at IIT Gandhinagar. 

IIT Gandhinagar PhD Admission 2026 for Maritime Engineering Application Process

All PhD applications must be submitted online. After successful submission of IITGN PhD application form, they will receive application number and link to download online form. They must save it. They also need to furnish hard copy of application form and self attested copies of all required documents at time of interview. They need to pay INR 150 for those belonging to SC/ST/PD, remaining categories need to pay INR 300.

Admission is offered based on interview, which is supplemented by a written test if necessary. IIT Gandhinagar will invite limited number of candidates for written test and/or interview based on academic records, statement of purpose, etc. Final selection will be mainly based on academic credentials, written test and interview. Mode and dates for written test, if any and interview will be communicated to shortlisted candidates.
