IIT Hyderabad offers fellowship for international research scholars; apply now
Selected candidates will be given a monthly fellowship amount of INR 60,000 and a contingency support of INR 1,00,000 per year. Interested candidates can apply till April 15, 2022.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad has invited applications for the third round of the Fellowship for International Research Scholars in Technology (FIRST) scheme to support bright and motivated international scholars for pursuing PhD at the institute. Interested candidates can apply till April 15, 2022.
The fellowship will be offered for a duration of four years. Selected candidates will be given a monthly fellowship amount of INR 60,000 and a contingency support of INR 1,00,000 per year.
IITH FIRST fellowship: Eligibility criteria
Candidates should check the eligibility criteria before applying for the IIT Hyderabad’s FIRST fellowship.
- Foreign nationals with excellent academic qualifications having a master’s degree in engineering/technology in the relevant disciplines and a minimum CGPA of 8.5 on a 10-point scale or equivalent.
- As per the official website of the institute, candidates with a degree from a top-line university in their respective countries, research output in terms of publications/patents will be given a weightage during shortlisting.
Candidates can download the application form from the institute’s website, https://www.iith.ac.in/iar/FIRST-FELLOWSHIP/, wherein they have to enter their personal details such as name, date of birth, nationality for citizenship, etc. They are required to forward the completed application form along with electronic copies of the testimonials and one reference letter to first.iar@iith.ac.in. There will be no application fee for the FIRST fellowship.
