IIT Indore starts Mtech Open-book Exams online; to be completed on July 6

The IIT Indore has started online open book examinations for Mtech programme.
The Indian Institute of Technology Indore has started Mtech online open book examination, for which a total of 255 students appeared from their homes, said the spokersperson Sunil Kumar.
The exam was started on Sunday. The spokesperson said that this was the first time in the 11-year history of the IIT Indore that students were sitting at home and answering tests. The online open-book examinations are scheduled to end on July 6.
"These students have been hired by companies and we want them to take their responsibilities at the right time," he added.
In mid-March, due to coronavirus outbreak in the country, the students from both IIT Indore and Indian Institute of Management Indore had left for their home.
IIM Indore Director Himanshu Rai said it had started online classes since March and students of some courses have also written online proctored examinations. He added that webcams were being used to keep an eye on students answering exams online.
In 2020, the institute was placed on the 9th position amongst the leading engineering colleges in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
