IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur offer free courses on data science, ML

Both courses are available for enrolment on the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) platform. 

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and IIT Kharagpur are offering free online ourses on data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning. 

IIT Kanpur is offering two new online courses — data science With R software 1: Probability And Statistical Inference, and data science With R software 2: Sampling theory and linear regression analysis. The course will start on January 23 and end on April 14, 2023. IIT Kanpur’s course can be taken up by anyone with a mathematics background up to Class 12, The Better India reported. 

Meanwhile, IIT Kharagpur is also offering a free applied linear algebra course in artificial intelligence and machine learning that can be completed in 12 weeks. The course will start on January 3 and end on April 14. The last day to apply is January 23.  

The course is suitable for senior undergraduates and postgraduates in the field of computer science engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, artificial intelligence, or mathematics. Both courses are available for enrollment on the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) platform.
