IIT Kanpur launches online course on natural language processing

The Electronics and Information and communication technology (EICT) Academy in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, in association with EICT Academy-NIT Patna, Malviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur, IIT Roorkee, and Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Jabalpur, is offering a two-week faculty development programme online course on ‘Natural Language Processing’.  

The session will cover topics such as basic text processing, spelling correction, language modelling, POS tagging, distributional semantics, topic models, entity linking, information extraction, text summarisation, text classification, sentiment analysis and opinion mining and dialog systems.

EICT Academy IIT Kanpur is an initiative of IIT Kanpur and the Ministry of Electronics Information Technology, Government of India (MeitY) that aims to provide job-oriented industry-relevant courses on the latest technology to students and faculty. Participants will be given certificates on completion of the programme.
