IIT Madras is all set to start GATE 2027 registration on August 14. However, as per the latest update, the conducting body has made few changes in brochure. The GATE 2027 exam dates, including eligibility, and other details remains the same in GATE Information Brochure 1.1.

As per the official notification, the following changes have been made in GATE exam 2027:

GATE Biotechnology (BT) syllabus has been revised. Candidates who want to apply for the BT paper must go through the syllabus carefully

GATE 2027 Biotechnology Syllabus Change
According to the new brochure, some sections in GATE BT paper have been merged. In addition, few topics have been added. Read below for more details:

Section 4 and 5 have been merged and combined into a new section “Fundamentals of Biological Engineering”

Bayesian Statistics, vector calculus (gradient/divergence/curl) added in Engineering Mathematics

Deeper metabolism, immunology & microbiology detail added in General Biology

Material/energy balances, thermodynamics & transport processes dropped as standalone topics
-
Recombination-based cloning, biosensors, and omics tools added in the recombinant DNA Technology and Other Tools section
