IITKGP invites applications for free course on blockchain technology
The course will be conduced from January 23 to April 14, 2023. It will cover the basic design principles of blockchain technology and its application in different sectors.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has invited applications for a free 12-week online course on blockchain and its applications. The course will cover the basic design principles of blockchain technology and its applications over different sectors. The course will be conduced from January 23 to April 14, 2023.
The course will be conducted by Sandip Chakraborty, who is working as an associate professor in the department of computer science and engineering at IIT Kharagpur, and professor Shamik Sural, a full-time professor at the department of computer science and engineering at the institute.
Who can apply?
The institute is also offering three credit points to those pursuing the course. This could be beneficial for students. The course can be taken up by undergraduate, postgraduate students and industry associates who have basic knowledge in computer networks, operating systems, cryptography and network security.
There are no enrollment charges for this course, but if the participant wants an e-certificate with logos of IIT Kharagpur and the National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL), he/she will have to register and write the proctored exam by paying a fee of INR 1,000. The exam will be conducted on April 29, 2023.
