JEE Main 2021 Session 4: Day 1 over, students’ reactions, exam analysis

The fourth and final session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 began today. The next JEE Main 2021 will be held tomorrow (August 27).

The fourth and final session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 began today. The next JEE Main 2021 will be held tomorrow (August 27). The first shift began at 9 am and ended at 12 pm, while the second shift was from 3 pm to 6 pm. Scroll down to know the students’ reaction.

As per the students who appeared in the first shift, the overall difficulty level was moderate to easy. The chemistry section was of easy to moderate level, the difficulty level of physics was easy to moderate. Most of the questions in chemistry were from NCERT. Questions were from ionic equilibrium, electrochemistry and coordination compounds. More weightage was given to organic and inorganic chemistry. In physics, questions were from optics, current electricity, thermodynamics and kinematics. In maths, questions were from algebra and vectors, geometry and trigonometry.  

As per Ajay Kumar Gupta, National Academic director (Engineering), Aakash Institute, it was a moderate to easy paper which can be solved in 3 hours. The subjectwise difficulty level can be assumed as mathematics > physics > chemistry.

According to students who sat in the second shift of JEE Main 2021 Session 4, the difficulty level of maths and physics was moderate, while that of chemistry was easy to moderate. The chemistry section was theory based and most of the questions were from NCERT. The maths section was lengthy and questions were from the topics of calculus. There were also questions from inorganic chemistry. In physics, questions from semicondictors were asked. 

The JEE Main 2021 (Session 4) is being held on August 26, 27, 31, and September 1 and 2 in 13 languages – English, Hindi, Gujarati, Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. The first and second sessions were conducted in February and March, respectively. The third session was held on July 20, 22, 25 & 27.  JEE Main is the engineering entrance exam for admission to NITsIIITs and GFTIs. JEE Main is also the qualifying exam for the JEE Advanced, the only admission test for the IITs. This year, IIT Kharagpur will conduct the JEE Advanced.
